Could Your Dog Be Part of The Faces Of The Respect The Lead Campaign?

Does your dog proudly wear their lead? Do they have a story that helps others understand why respecting on-lead dogs is so important? Do you want to help spread awareness while celebrating your four-legged friend? If so, we want to hear from you!

Respect The Lead Photography CompetitionThe Respect The Lead campaign is looking for real dogs to become the faces of our movement. Whether your dog is on a lead because it’s still in training, recovering from surgery, gaining confidence, or simply doesn’t enjoy off-lead play, we want to celebrate it and use its image to help spread awareness. We will reward these lucky dogs with a dog goody bag.

Why We Need Real Dogs

Since launching in 2019, Respect The Lead has gone viral, reaching dog lovers worldwide. It has been featured on BBC Radio, The Telegraph, Vet Times Online, and more, and it provides free resources to educate dog owners about responsible interactions.

But we need real dogs to keep this message strong.

By sharing and talking about the campaign, people out and about, dog owners or not, can be educated about how to interact with dogs safely, or by asking, as the dog may need space.

How to Get Involved in the Competition

Could you send us a photo of your dog on a lead? You can also use these themes as inspiration:

  • “I’m not confident around other dogs”
  • “I’m recovering from surgery”
  • “I am learning about the world”
  • “I’m building confidence”
  • “I’m still training”
  • “I don’t play well with other dogs”

Email your photo to: zoe@thefriendlypetnurse.co.uk
Share it on Facebook or Instagram and tag our @RespectTheLead account anywhere on the photo or in the text:
@RespectTheLead on Instagram / @RespectTheLead on Facebook

The chosen dogs will be featured as official campaign faces and help us spread this vital message even further!
