The awards ceremony

The winners of each category, along with the overall winner, will be announced at a star-studded ceremony taking place at the Savoy Hotel in London on the 2nd of August.

At the 2017 ceremony, the winner of Outstanding Rescue Cat went on to win the National Cat of The Year award. The eight-year-old black and white cat from Lincoln, called Genie, was chosen for helping her owner, 12-year-old Evie Henderson, with her battle against bone cancer. Read more about Genie’s story, and see last years other winners, on our previous blog post.
