International Declaration of Responsibilities to Cats

About The Declaration

As you may have seen recently on my Facebook page, International Cat Care - International Declaration of Responsibilities to Cats - The Friendly Pet NurseI am proud to support the International Declaration of Responsibilities to Cats.

Whilst there are millions of dedicated cat owners and feline professionals like myself who care deeply for the welfare of cats, sadly life can be tough for many cats all over the world, and cat welfare urgently needs improvement.

The declaration intends to provide a clear framework to help everyone to protect and improve feline welfare.

As stated on the icatcare website, “Change will only happen when different entities, including central governments, non-governmental organisations and charities, breeders, owners and veterinary professionals, come together and play their part.”

The declaration has been developed by International Cat Care, a charity dedicated to improving the health and welfare of cats worldwide, as part of their 60th anniversary.

Declare Your Support For Cats

I encourage all cat lovers to get involved, read and sign the declaration, and share the cause with your friends and family.

You can find out more information on the International Cat Care website, read the full declaration here, and sign today on the change.org website.

International Cat Care also have several worthy campaigns all aimed at improving the life, health, and welfare of cats. One such campaign is aimed at raising awareness of how dangerous lilies can be for our feline friends, a serious issue which I also recently highlighted on my blog.

If you have any concerns about the health or welfare of your cat, please feel free to get in touch to discuss how I can help.
